greetings rogues! i have an urgent [and exciting] transmission for you all, with two parts:

1. TRAIT: ACCOUNTABLE

by marketing second edition as “originally an expansion” for galactic 2e, “expanded to a 34-page game,” i was walking a thin line, and i fear that i tread over it. after a buyer reached out in reasonable confusion about why the book referenced galactic 2e’s setup instructions & TRAITS without providing them, i came to grips with the fact that i’d made a mistake.

as part of my mea culpa, and with permission from riley rethal, i have updated the going rogue 2e PDFs [and playkit] on itch to include a reprint of the galactic 2e instructions and all 36 of its TRAITS. this new v2.3 version also comes with some minor typo+formatting fixes, better PDF links, minor mechanical changes [more on that soon] and *gasp*...

Sentence case capitalization! Why, might you ask?

2. GALACTIC AND GOING ROGUE CROWDFUNDER

Because I am incredibly excited to announce that I am putting together a Kickstarter to finally bring both Riley & I’s games to print in a single, combined Galactic & Going Rogue hardcover book with all new art and layout! The crowdfunder will also help produce expanded content and a variety of supplemental materials, through the efforts of over 30 crowdfunder contributors including [REDACTED], of Dropout's Dimension 20 and Um, Actually, [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], two of four known cohosts of the [REDACTED] Star Wars podcast, and more!

Peek at everything that’s been decrypted so far on the Kickstarter prelaunch page here, and hit the “Notify me” button Kickstarter to be notified when decryption completes [and the project goes live] on May 20th! It’s a huge, huge help to indie creators like Riley and myself. If you really want to support the game, you can also repost the announcement on Bluesky and Tumblr, and share it around your Discords, subreddits, and other communities!

Note: The capitalization [I know, I know] and minor mechanical changes were made for the in-progress development of the combined book, and I figured I would backport those improvements onto this little update—the mechanics remain largely the same, but I made some small but [I think] positive changes to a few moves , playbook options, and headers, and figured I might as well provide them to everyone who purchased 2e while I was at it! Also, huge thanks to the ever-talented satah for copyediting the style update and consulting on a small design change!
